Not Your Usual Cardio

In my cardio vs. conditioning post I talked about the differences between traditional cardio and conditioning.

One of my favorite means of conditioning is using my own bodyweight.  The reason I like bodyweight conditioning so much, is because I have to stay mentally tough and motivated to complete the workout.  I could easily stop and take a breath or just quit when I start sucking wind.

Another thing that keeps me going is having a goal.  Sometimes the goal is completing as many rounds or circuits in a given time and other times its seeing how longs it takes me to complete say 5 rounds. I try to break my record every times.  YOU HAVE TO HAVE A GOAL OR YOU”LL NEVER IMPROVE.

You have be able to push through the thought in your head that’s tell you, “go ahead take a rest, it’s okay.”  Having a goal whether it be for a lifting or conditioning session helps you do just that.

Below is a video of one of my favorite conditioning routines.  I call it “super circuit.”   Take a look and let me know what you think.
