Heavy Squats and Handstand Pushups: Full Body Training Log Wk 3 – Day 3
I saved the toughest for last! Squats and my handstand pushups are the two lifts I want improve the most and today they went well.
The first three weeks of the cycle have progressed really well. Next week will be a mini deload where I’ll cut down on the weights to give my body a chance to recover and prepare for the next three heavy weeks.
Full Body Training Wk 3 – Day 3
1 – Squat 5×5,5,3,3,3
2a – Sandbag Clean 3×8
2b – DB Split Squat 3×8
2c – Handstand Pushups 3×5
3a – Incline DB Press 3×8,6,5
3b – Weighted Chins 3×10,8,8
3c – KB Thrusters 3×15
Today was tough. Like I said, my squats and handstand pushups went well but the rest of the supplemental stuff was a grind. I can really tell when I have not had enough rest/recovery time during the week. That’s something I’ll have to go back and reasses as I prepare for the next heavy lifting cycle.
